The Shadow and Shine Collective is an innovative program designed to enrich the local community through two primary initiatives: funding opportunities for local filmmakers and mentorship for aspiring teenage filmmakers.

Mentorship and Shadowing Opportunities: Recognizing the importance of nurturing the next generation of filmmakers, the Shadow and Shine Collective offers hands-on shadowing and mentoring experiences for teenagers interested in pursuing careers in film. Participants work alongside established filmmakers on set, gaining invaluable insights into the filmmaking process, from pre-production to post-production. This immersive experience not only equips youth with practical skills but also inspires them to explore their passions within the film industry.

Funding for Local Filmmakers: The program aims to empower local talent by providing financial support for the production of short films. By offering grants of up to $10,000, the collective fosters creativity and storytelling within the community, enabling filmmakers to bring their unique visions to life.
